And she goaded Trump into display his full nut case persona. She made Trump demonstrate why those who are not as nasty and insane as him to vote and ensure another American political disaster does not happen. Keep needling Trump and his lunacy will defeat him.

Rundle wishes us “progressives” to throw in our lot with the more numerous “working class” as I think he defines it. If that “working class” is motivated by exclusionary elitism (“build that wall”, “mass deportation”) and so on they probably should not expect assistance from those opposed to the principle or practice of it. And really should give exclusionary elitism a go.

Given political polarisation, people will not emulate those they don’t think are credible i.e. the rich left are just “woke” and irrelevant. People will however align themselves with those tell/sell them a story they like, especially if it’s a revenge tragedy.

The US has to get out of its mindset of “fair = lottery’s chance of success”

You could say that it is a cut as apparently Biden had proposed a much higher raising (39.6%) of the Capital Gains tax in his 2005 budget. But according to Forbes magazine she is proposing to raise the tax from 20% to 28% for Americans earning more than $1million, but tax certain unrealized capital gains.

I may have to concede being wrong when saying she didn’t have a policy here, as I read more about it “she repeated his promise to avoid increasing tax for Americans making less than $400,000, expressed support for his vision of an expanded child tax credit, and embraced his so-called Billionaire Minimum Income Tax, a 25% minimum income tax on households worth more than $100 million. A similar pattern can be found in her proposal to raise the corporate tax rate from 21% to 28%.” mind you she had promised to restore corporate tax to the 35% it was before Trump lowered it. We’ll have to wait and see whether it comes to fruition though.

“I’m not saying that. But people are saying that. Maybe I’m a better singer, I don’t know. Could be. I mean, I am a pretty good singer, and I’m more popular. You can see more people have come to my rallies than her concerts. Anyone can see that. And I’m clearly the better dancer. Everyone loves my dancing … (ad nauseum)”.

They rely heavily on someone picking up an identified number and responding. Younger, less Trumpy people do not pick up and are not well represented in any polling.
