Phil Coorey, claiming the Greens policies will ‘cripple the economy’
]]>Labor MPs defect on census changes
Nonsense. Have these MPs left Labor to join some other party? Expressing some doubt or disagreement ≠ defecting. Not even in Labor.
]]>Yes banquo911, Comyn was a senior exec in the CBA when it was doing all the terrible, one would have thought utterly illegal, things that were exposed in the Royal Commission on banking, so for him to it’s unfair is the height of hypocrisy.
And on Jacob Greber, he shamelessly pushed the gas companies’ we’ll-leave-if-you-try-tax-us line with his question in the National Press Club address. Adam Bandt gave a perfectly reasonable answer, imo. I’d have preferred he’d answered that Qatar raises $50billion in taxes compared to our $2billion whilst exporting less gas than we do yet can still get gas companies willing to be a part of it.
Then in a totally unhinged from reality moment Greber repeated the gas company line as a follow up question on the basis that it costs money to drill for gas. Where did the ABC find this guy?
The ABC Greens-hating didn’t end there. I ended up watching Sarah Ferguson interviewing Max on 7.30 by accident on social media. It was yet another excessively aggressive performance from Fergusson, with constant interruptions, pushing the Labor/froth-mouthed Coalition/property developer lines constantly.
I witnessed once on the Drum the host ignore for ages a Greens MP guest, who eventually injected himself into the conversation, only for the host to stop the conversation in its track and launch an unhinged, imo factually inaccurate rant at the MP over the Greens opposing Rudd’s taxpayer’s-will-pay-polluters-not-to-pollute ETS way back in the day.
I witnessed once on the afternoon briefing after the host dismissed examining the Greens stance on an issue with his duopoly guests by asserting they were a ‘fringe party’.
“Our ABC” is shamelessly biased against the Greens.

]]>Comyn thinks it’s ‘unfair’ that big business is accused of ripping off customers. Maybe ABC journo Jacob Greber would like to tune in and see someone who is actually channelling Trump in their rhetoric. It is demonstrably true that both customers and workers are being ripped off – maybe hard to see that from up in the C-Suite where everything is made up and the money doesn’t matter.
